Requalification Course

- Prerequisites: Candidates must have a valid 4 day FAW certificate.
Emergency First Aid Course (Appointed Persons')
- Duration: 1 Day

- Description: Provides the minimal requirement for First Aid in the workplace.
- Validity: 3 Years.
Skills Update Courses
- Duration: 2 Hrs

- Description: Gives First Aiders an opportunity to practice and update their skills.
Paediatric First Aid (6 Hours)
- Duration: 6 Hrs
- Cost: £38
- Description: A course specifically tailored to adults providing basic First Aid care to children and babies.
- Suitable For: Ideally suited to school, pre-school and nursery school staff. Also, parents and grand parents wishing to be capable of providing emergency first aid to their charges.
- Validity: 3 Years.
Paediatric First Aid − OFSTED Compliant
- Duration: 12 Hrs
- Cost: £70
- Description: An advanced course covering all topics stipulated by OFSTED that is a requirement for childminders, nursery workers and teachers.
- Validity: 3 Years.
EFR First Aid Courses
Providing the ability to give Basic Life Support (BLS) to adults and children, these courses enable you to react to emergency situations and save lives.
EFR Primary and Secondary Care Course
- Duration: 8 Hrs

- Description: Gives a thorough grounding in providing both Primary (BLS) and Secondary care to Adults.
- Validity: 2 Years.
- Includes: AED and Oxygen provision as standard
EFR Care for Children
- Duration: 8 Hrs

- Description: Teaches the use of lifesaving techniques for Children.
- Validity: 2 Years.
DAN First Aid Courses
A range of courses primarily aimed at giving individuals the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid to those suffering from SCUBA Diving and Aquatic injuries such as DCI.
Oxygen First Aid for SCUBA Diving Injuries
- Duration: 4 Hrs
- Cost: £55
- Description: Use of Oxygen in treating SCUBA diving injuries.
- Validity: 2 Years.
Advanced Oxygen First Aid for SCUBA Diving Injuries
- Duration: 4 Hrs
- Cost: £55
- Description: Teaches advanced techniques for giving Oxygen when treating SCUBA diving injuries.
- Validity: 2 Years.
Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies
- Duration: 4 Hrs
- Cost: £55
- Description: Providing Oxygen in treating near-drowning accidents.
- Validity: 2 Years.
Hazardous Marine Life Injuries (HMLI)
- Duration: 4 Hrs
- Cost: £55
- Description: Training to recognise and treat injuries resulting from hazardous marine life.
- Validity: 2 Years.
Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)
- Duration: 3 Hrs
- Cost: £55
- Description: Use of the AED in BLS.
- Validity: 2 Years.
Re-Certification Training Courses
- Duration: 2 Hrs
- Cost: £35
- Description: Re-certification in all of the above DAN courses.
- Validity: A further 2 Years.
First Aid Instructor Training Courses
These courses can qualify you to instruct First Aid. How much training you require depends on your current qualifications, experience and learning ability. You need to acquire a satisfactory level of knowledge and skill in both First Aid and teaching. This link shows an example of the reduced level of training required for a medically qualified individual to become a First Aid Instructor. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
EFR First Aid Instructor Training Course
- Duration: 1 Day minimum. Depends on current qualifications and experience.
- Course Cost: £100 per day.
- Instructor Manual: You will need to own an EFR instructor manual at a cost of about £35 (no VAT).
- Instructor Registration: You will need to register with EFR as a first aid instructor at a cost of £70.50 + VAT.
- Description: Enables successful candidates to teach the EFR Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children courses.
- Prerequisites: Valid EFR Primary & Secondary Care and Care for Children provider level qualifications.
Instructor Course for HSE FAW Training
- Duration: 1 Day minimum.
- Cost: £100 per day.
- Instructor Manual: You will need to own a FAW instructor manual at a cost of about £42 (no VAT).
- Training Materials: You will need to have a copy of the lesson guides at a cost of £38.39 + VAT.
- Instructor Registration: You will need to register as a FAW Instructor with EFR at a cost of £26 + VAT.
- Facility Registration: To offer HSE FAW courses you need to register your own facility with the HSE or an approved organization such as EFR.
- Description: Enables you to teach the HSE FAW courses and to act as an assessor on such courses for approved facilities.
- Prerequisites: Valid HSE FAW Certificate and be an EFR Instructor.
